The adventures of Star-Lord and Baby Groot are apparently serious business to one Texas resident.According to a report by the Statesman, Brandon Vezmar, a 37-year-old based out of Austin, is suing an unidentified 35-year-old woman for $17.31 following an online date gone awry. The amount sought equals the exact amount of money spent for his date's 3D ticket price of admission to Marvel's latest blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, a showing in which the woman allegedly spent the majority of her time on her cellphone.Specifically, Vezmar's petition stated that the woman "activated her phone at least 10-20 times in 15 minutes to read and send text messages." When approached about the origin of the lawsuit, he later added, “This is like one of my biggest pet peeves ... It was kind of a first date from hell.”RELATED: Why James Gunn Nearly Passed Up Guardians Vol. 3The bizarre news story even made its way to James Gunn, the director of both Guardians of the Galaxy films, who joking replied in a tweet:
