If you've been wondering who'll voice the ninjas behind their plastic black masks in "The LEGO Ninjago Movie," Brickset has you covered. Warner Bros. released casting information during the 2016 Licensing Expo, revealing that the voice cast will include Michael Peña and the legendary Jackie Chan.

Jackie Chan will supply the voice of Master Wu, the character who is fated to bring together a young team of ninjas to protect their homeland. Michael Peña will play the young Kai, the Master of Fire. While exact details of the plot have not been revealed, the film is in the hands of the same creators of the television show that the movie is based. Rounding out the voice cast are Dave Franco as Lloyd, Abbi Jacobson as Nya, Kumail Nanjiani as Jay, Zach Woods as Zane and Fred Armisen as Cole

"The LEGO Ninjago Movie" is the film adaptation of the Dan and Kevin Hageman's popular television show, "LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu." The brothers, who also co-wrote "The Lego Movie," returned to the island of Ninjago for the film's adaptation. The film adaptation will stray from the original show, telling the story of six young ninjas set to defend their island home of Ninjago. At night, they're martial artists, defeating monstrous villains. During the day, they’re still teenagers, struggling against their greatest foe: high school.

Disney's "Tron: Uprising" producer, Charlie Bean, will direct the film. "The LEGO Movie" production team Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Phil Lord and Chris Miller will also be on board to produce.

"LEGO Ninjago" will strike theaters on September 22, 2017.
