According to Variety, you can add Brad Parker to the growing roster of directors making films for J.J. Abrams' production company. The commercial director and visual effects supervisor made the jump to features with The Diary of Lawson Oxford, which will be out in 2013, but he's now working on an unnamed action flick for Bad Robot and Paramount Pictures.

Screenwriter Michael Gilio wrote the script, which will be produced by Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves. Parker acted as Reeves' second unit director on Let Me In, so the pair have a relationship that will surely help with the creative process.

The film is being produced for Bad Robot by Abrams and Bryan Burk, who are beginning work on Star Trek 2.
