Jason Dohring, who played Logan Echolls on "Veronica Mars," has joined the cast of The CW's "iZombie" for Season Three.

According to TVLine, Dohring will appear in a recurring role as Chase Graves, the brother-in-law of Fillmore Graves CEO Vivian Stoll (Andrea Savage).

Executive Producer Rob Thomas, who created both "iZombie" and "Veronica Mars," has wanted Dohring in the cast for some time, revealing in a September 2015 interview that, “I’d just been emailing Jason, saying, ‘We’re going to find something great for you this year,’ and then he got cast in 'The Originals,' and I sighed heavily."

This season, however, the timing worked out, with Dohring's character set to debut in Episode Eight, titled "Eat a Kinevel." Giving his connection to the Fillmore Graves hierarchy, it remains to be seen whether he will serve as an antagonist or ally for Liv Moore (Rose McIver).

Other "Veronica Mars" alums have appeared in previous seasons of "iZombie," including Kristen Bell in a voice cameo, and guest roles from Adam Rose, Enrico Colantoni and Daran Norris.

Based on the Vertigo comics series by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, "iZombie" was developed by Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright. Season Three will premiere in early 2017 on The CW.
