It's been a long time coming, and in one week, fans of "Arrow" and "The Flash" will finally see the anticipated crossover between the two CW series.

But for now, viewers of the hit DC Comics-based shows will have to be content with the first teaser for the two-part storyline which finds Oliver Queen arriving in Central City to train his friend, Barry Allen, while helping the nascent hero solve a mystery. Of course, when the two get together, they have something else they need to figure out -- which one would win in an all-out fight?

Both series are known for their extended sub-plots, and even though they're placing the team-up at the forefront for two hours, viewers can expect the development of long-simmering storylines to continue. "There's a really big character, emotional moment for Oliver on 'The Flash' side; [something] that we set up last season and paid off in 'Flash,' and will pay off down the road on 'Arrow,'" Kreisberg said of the crossover in a recent interview.

"It's like the bomb underneath the table," added EP Marc Guggenheim. "And I think part of the fun is waiting to see when Oliver is going to learn what the audience learns on 'Flash.'"

"The Flash" and "Arrow" crossover event begins Tuesday, December 2 at 8PM, 7PM Central.
