Even as Wednesday's big Warner Bros. announcement pulls our attention toward the likes of The Flash (starring Ezra Miller?), Cyborg and not one but two Justice League movies, new footage from a New Mexico TV station draws us back to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

A helicopter from Albuquerque's KOAT has captured footage of a massive set for director Zack Snyder's film under construction in the desert outside of Deming, a small city 60 miles west of Las Cruces. Judging from the architecture, which suggests the ancient Mediterranean or Middle East, the logical guess is that this will be Themyscira, the home of Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot).

It was confirmed earlier this week that Wonder Woman's origin in Batman v Superman will borrow from DC Comics' New 52, in which the superheroine is revealed to be a demigod, born of an affair between Hippolyta and Zeus.

Deming has served as a location for more than a dozen films, including Gas, Food Lodging, Paris, Texas, and, most famously (or is that infamously?), Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

Opening March 25, 2016, Batman v Superman also stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishurne, Diane Lane, Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons. It opens March 25, 2016.
