MAN OF STEELEntertainment Weekly spoke with "Man of Steel" star Henry Cavill about research for his role as Superman, and the actor revealed his four biggest comic book influences on his take on the character: "The Death of Superman," "The Return of Superman," "Superman: Red Son" and "Superman/Batman: The Search for Kryptonite."

"I read as much as I could, purely because I wanted to get a great reservoir of knowledge from the source material," Cavill told EW. ARROWTV Line reports J. August Richards will be playing a character called Mr. Blank in an upcoming episode of "Arrow" -- a character that Andrew Kreisberg said was almost a direct appearance by another DC villain: Onomatopoeia.

"Originally, we were going to try to do Onomatopoeia, a villain from Kevin Smith's run [of New Earth comics]," Kreisberg told TV Line, "but Kevin apparently said in an interview that there was no way to bring that character to television and film -- and after a while we agreed with him!"

Meanwhile, series star Stephen Amell posted a new "Arrow" teaser on his Twitter account.
