BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT
More from Gotham City? All right — there’s a new featurette at MTV showing the effect villains have on Bruce Wayne …
BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD
Even more Bat-news? According to World’s Finest, animation guru Bruce Timm confirmed that the new team-up animated series will be aimed at younger viewers. Characters scheduled to appear alongside Batman include Green Arrow, Green Lantern, The Blue Beetle, Plastic Man, Red Tornado, Aquaman, and more.
PUNISHER: WAR ZONE
There’s an interview (in Italian and English) with special effects supervisor Ray McIntire at Comicus.it talking about the film. “The movie is currently going through the editing process and very few of the vfx shots have been turned over to begin the vfx work,” McIntire said. “Studios today want to make sure the vfx shots will be in the movie and the cut is locked prior to turning over all the work for vfx to begin. This is the most cost effective approach, so that as few shots as possible will be omitted from the cut after we have begun the vfx process.”
If you can take some spoilers, the track listing for the soundtrack is at Marvel Animation Age and it has a few.
Keeping it animated, World’s Finest notes that Alfred Molina will play Ares, Virginia Madsen will play Hippolyta, and Rosario Dawson will play Artemis. The movie, slated to be rated PG-13, will be available Spring 2009.
IGN talked to supervising producer Greg Weisman about what’s happening for the next season. “I’m actually in a brief lull, because we finished recording all of the Season 2 shows, but none have come back from oversees yet, so I actually have got about a month with very little to do. Which, by the way, I’m very happy about! [Laughs] I can use the rest, let me put it that way.”
THE CASTING COUCH
We can’t do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos — they’re all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, “What do you mean your sister’s dating somebody who works for Warner Brothers?” The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web’s rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we’ve got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, and The Hundred and Four was there the day evil won.
