Iron Man 2, Cowboys and Aliens, Transformers 2: April 10th Comic Reel

IRON MAN 2

Is Jim Rhodes future in doubt?  Comic Book Movie has words from Don Cheadle himself.  When asked about spinning off the character, Cheadle said, “Actually, I hope to retire. I’m only half-joking. It would be great to have a character that you could take off with. If it was Rhodey that would be interesting but I have young children. If it meant spending months and months away from home, it’s not worth that. You’ve caught me at a very ambivalent moment. I’m gonna be a good soldier, I know that!”

Meanwhile, director Jon Favreau has wrapped the first week of shooting.

Starring Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, release date: May 7, 2010.

COWBOYS AND ALIENS

Speaking of Robert Downey Jr.-fueled films, the actor told MTV that he might not be involved in the Platinum Studios project.  “I don’t know what I’ve got coming up,” Downey said.

No release date announced.

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN

More heavy metal? All right — how about a gang of character images from the sequel at TFW2005, while Latino Review has set photos showing director Michael Bay at work.

Starring Shia LeBeouf, release date: June 24, 2009.

SIN CITY 2

Despite rumors that the production is in trouble, the rumor from Moviehole is that actress Angelina Jolie is back in contention for a lead role.

Directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez, no release date announced.

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES

CBR News has the break down of the season finale.

Next episode, “Born to Run,” tonight.

SPIDER-MAN 5

Director Sam Raimi told Ain’t It Cool News that he’s only looking ahead to one sequel, not more. “No one’s talked to me about making part 5 at this moment. Right now I’m hoping to make part 4,” Raimi said.  “It’s a never-ending process. Basically we are talking about the story right now, shortly artists will come on and I’ll start giving them shots to draw. We are supposed to start talking to a production designer soon, so it will just keep getting larger and larger.”

No release date announced.

G.I. JOE: RISE OF COBRA

IGN has a new video with actor Channing Tatum, discussing the fight scenes in the upcoming toy adaptation.

Starring Dennis Quaid, release date: August 7, 2009.

VENOM

Screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick told Superhero Hype about the proposed spin off.  “Venom is something that we’re very fired up to be writing,” Reese said. “We have turned in a draft and are waiting to hear back, so it’s early in the process. But it’s a thrill to be writing ‘Venom’ for obvious reasons.”

No release date announced.

GREEN HORNET

Ain’t It Cool News also talked to actor/director Seth Rogen, who said, “There’s a very real possibility that [Stephen Chow] will end up being Kato and there’s a slight possibility it won’t work out,” Rogen said, “but honestly we just aren’t 100% sure right now, because he does his thing … he’s the king of the world in Hong Kong, he doesn’t need us!”

Release date: June 25, 2010.

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

Mmm, new TV spots.  How many.  How about four, huh?  That many?  Nice.

CBR News also has an exclusive new featurette about the game based on the movie.

Starring Hugh Jackman, release date: May 1, 2009.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD

More from director Edgar Wright?  Oh yeah.

Release date: 2010
