There's an awful lot of information to digest from Netflix and Marvel Television's first full trailer for the anticipated "Iron Fist" series. In just over two minutes of video footage, we see Danny Rand return to New York City, get a Cliff Notes version of his origin story, learn who the bad guys are he'll be battling, get to know fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer Colleen Wing, and once again see Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple as the hub at the center of the Defenders' unfolding stories.

But for many fans of the martial arts hero, the most enjoyable moment may be the brief scene where we see Danny standing in the snow, battle weary and wearing a go that's obviously designed to evoke the feel of his comic book counterpart's superhero costume. Sure, it's missing the trademark collar, but there's no mistaking the intended homage as you see Danny dressed in yellow and green, with the iconic dragon tattoo on his chest clearly visible.

Whether this is hint at what's to come for the hero as he makes himself at home in New York City, or if it's like his fellow Defender Luke Cage's similar nod to the hero's comic book roots remains to be seen. At this point, even star Finn Jones refuses to reveal what's in store for his character's wardrobe.

“I mean, who says there’s going to be a costume?” star Finn Jones said in recent interview. “I mean, this is a modern … I can’t say any more. Marvel’s gonna kill me. There may be a costume, there may not be.”

In 2016's "Luke Cage," viewers were treated to a flashback sequence which adorned Mike Colter's title hero with a metal "tiara" similar to the one the hero once sported in the comics. The show later dressed him in a yellow shirt evoking, again, the character's costumed comic book roots.

Starring Finn Jones as Danny Rand, “Iron Fist” arrives on Netflix on March 17, 2017. The series also stars “Star Wars: The Force Awakens’” Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum and more.
