"Iron Fist" has some surprises in store for Marvel Netflix fans. According to stars Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand), the show hasn't even announced two of the characters who will appear in the back half of its debut season -- and one of them may be Iron Fist's nemesis Steel Serpent.

“There are two characters who come into the second half of Iron Fist season one who haven’t been announced yet,” Henwick revealed to Yahoo! News.

"There’s one in particular who fans are… it’s a comic book character who’s not been seen before and at the end of Iron Fist they set him up in a really interesting way," she added. "I think for me, that’s the most interesting relationship on the show.”

Asked directly if one of these characters was Steel Serpent, Jones said, "Maybe that’s what we were just errr… My publicist is looking at me with devil eyes. Hey look, that’s going to be announced very soon so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s announced before these [interviews] even come to print.”

“I think you guys will be able to figure out who we’re talking about,” Henwick concluded.

Of course, this is far from a confirmation that Steel Serpent will appear in "Iron Fist" Season 1, but Jones and Henwick's responses strongly suggest that is the case. Additionally, this certainly wouldn't be the first allusion to Steel Serpent in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the first season of "Daredevil," Matt Murdock busted a drug ring run by Madam Gao; each packet of drugs was stamped with a logo which looks very similar to Steel Serpent's symbol in the comics.

Steel Serpent first appeared in Tony Isabella and Frank McLaughlin's "Deadly Hands of Kung Fu" #10 in 1974. However, it wasn't until Chris Claremont and John Byrne's "Iron Fist" #1 (1975) that he was revealed to be Davos, a native of K'un Lun. As the son of Lei Kung the Thunderer, Danny Rand's trainer, Davos is an extremely talented martial artist. Like Danny, Davos faced the dragon Shou-Lao to become the Iron Fist; unlike Danny, he failed. Subsequently, Davos became incredibly jealous of Danny and has attempted to take Danny's power for himself several times.

Starring Finn Jones as Danny Rand, “Iron Fist” arrives March 17, 2017 on Netflix. Premiering this summer on Netflix, “Marvel’s The Defenders” stars Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Elodie Yung, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Rosario Dawson, Rachael Taylor and Scott Glenn.
