Marvel Studios' "Iron Fist" production is in full swing, as seen in a new batch of unofficial photos from the series' New York set. The images show Finn Jones, who plays the main character, Danny Rand, embroiled in several scenarios on the streets of New York City. In one batch of photos, he's nursing a wound while posted up against a street light. In another, he's performing some kung-fu on an assailant while dressed in a rather comfortable looking bathrobe.

Iron Fist first debuted in the 1970s as Marvel Comics cashed in on the martial arts craze of the era. After mastering the power of the Iron Fist, Danny Rand returns to New York to battle criminals and defend the downtrodden. He eventually struck up a friendship with Luke Cage, forming a life-long bond as well as the somewhat mercenary Heroes for Hire business. The character's Netflix series is part of an overarching plot that will eventually see the two joining forces, along with Jessica Jones and Daredevil, as members of the Defenders.

Series development for Iron Fist began back in 2013, but we first got a glimpse of the titular character when Netflix released the teaser trailer earlier in the summer.

The series also stars Jessica Henwick as Coleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum. Carrie-Anne Moss, who played lawyer Jeri Hogarth in "Jessica Jones" and "Daredevil," will also be making an appearance. Iron Fist will debut in 2017.
