The newly released synopsis for "The Flash" installment of the crossover between The CW's four DC Comics-based show suggests the Nov. 29 episode will feature exactly what fans would want from the story: The Flash, Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) against the Dominators, the alien race featured in the 1988-1989 DC Comics crossover "Invasion!" Fittingly, the episode is titled "Invasion!" -- and it's already been stated that the goal is for a faithful visual adaptation of the comic book characters.

"This year, for our mega 'Arrowverse' crossover, we're taking inspiration from a DC crossover from the late 1980s known as 'Invasion!,' which featured an alien race called the Dominators, who’d previously vexed the Legion of Superheroes," "Arrow" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim said in a statement back in September. "We're using cutting edge prosthetics and computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to 'Invasion!' artist Todd McFarlane’s interpretation of the characters."

"The Flash" episode is the first full installment of the four-show crossover, though things get started a day earlier on "Supergirl." The stoy continues in "Arrow" and wraps in "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." Here’s the full synopsis for “Invasion!,” which airs 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 on The CW:

IT’S HEROES VS. ALIENS IN THIS EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT — When aliens called the Dominators attack Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) speeds over to Star City to ask the Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in stopping them. Realizing the battle against the Dominators is bigger than they thought, they track down the Legends of Tomorrow, and Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) create a breach to bring back a secret weapon – Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist).
