"Interstellar," Christopher Nolan's 2014 sci-fi epic, was the most-pirated film of the year, topping a list that also includes "Furious 7," "Jurassic World" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron."

Although it comes as no surprise that such blockbusters are so popular on torrent sites, you may wonder what a movie from last year is doing on the 2015 list. Variety explains that, "popular movies from the previous year spend more cumulative time in circulation among pirates," which also led to 2013's "Wolf of Wall Street" topping the 2014 list.

"Interstellar" was downloaded 46.8 million, followed by "Furious 7" with 44.8 million, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" with 41.6 million and "Jurassic World" with 36.9 million.

Piracy is on the rise, with Variety noting that "Wolf of Wall Street" was downloaded 30 million times, less than this year's 10th-place film, "Kingsman: The Secret Service" (30.9 million).
