Today's a pretty big day for the moon -- you know, total solar eclipse and all -- so the timing makes sense for a new reveal starring the Marvel Universe's most famous inhabitants of that astronomical body, the Inhumans.

With Marvel's Inhumans debuting in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1 for a two-week run before its ABC premiere on Sept. 29, CBR has the exclusive first look at a new promotional image of series star Anson Mount in costume as Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans.

"He is the leader who must be aware of the power and potential danger of his public voice," Mount said of his character during a set visit attended by CBR in April. "I think he’s immediately charming in that way. Readers appreciate Black Bolt because they see him struggling with a deep sense of responsibility. A king’s identity — a responsible king — their identity is the state. And he certainly is that."

Here's the latest official description of the series, which will take the Inhumans out of their home of Attilan (traditionally located on the Blue Area on the Moon) and place them in Hawaii, where the show is filmed: "Based on the Marvel comic, the new television series explores the never-before-told adventure of the Inhuman royal family as they escape to Hawaii after a military coup."

The first two episodes of Marvel's Inhumans will debut in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1 for a two-week run, and ABC will begin to air the series on Sept. 29. The network will show the eight-episode first season of Inhumans in its entirety, including content from the first two episodes not seen in the IMAX run.
