Actress Liv Tyler talked to Superhero Hype, discussing her role in the “requel.” “There’s nothing similar about the story or even really the characters in a lot of ways,” Tyler said. “I mostly went back and watched the television show, which was one of my favorite things my mom and I used to watch all the time. I would say that the essence of that image of the lone figure of [David] Bruce Banner walking down the street alone with his little backpack hitchhiking, the misunderstood hero having to move onto another town was more of the overall feeling for the film but the story is completely different. I didn’t write the screenplay, Edward Norton did, and I was really very happy, because I was actually offered the part and had to decide if I was going to be in the movie before I ever read the script, but it was really well-written and he wrote a really great part for me. I’m a scientist — which I know is unbelievable — and I had a lot of good things to do that I was excited about.”
CBR News has a one-on-one with producer Gail Anne Hurd.

THE DARK KNIGHT
UFC fighter Randy Couture is quoted by Superhero Hype talking about joining the adaptation as a mysterious character named “Jed.” “It’s been reset, and I think now I think they’re waiting for the dust to settle with the Olympics in China, ’cause most of the movie is shot in China,” he said. “I’m attached to play a U.S. agent that’s intricately wound up into the plot of the movie.”
After everybody and their mom’s website reported the rumor of a new Peter Parker, the studio took the time to tell Latino Review “that there is no truth to the rumor that the studio is looking to replace Tobey Maguire in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in future ‘Spider-Man’ movies.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro will reprise their roles in the sequel.
