The funniest lawsuit in Hollywood just got ever better: The RV rental company named in Twilight star Taylor Lautner's claim for emotional damages brought on by late delivery has responded by asking for a push-up-off. Yes, you read that right.

The Hollywood Reporter's THR Esq. blog has the story that Brent McMahon, owner of McMahon's RV, the company being sued by Lautner, held a press conference to respond to the charges in which he suggested that the suit is settled by a push-up contest, with $40,000 to be paid by the loser to the local Children's Hospital of Orange County. "We're taking a negative and making it into a positive to benefit the sick children at Children's Hospital of Orange County," McMahon said. Sadly, Lautner turned the idea down, with a spokesman releasing a statement that said,

McMahon's RV's response to our client's legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place... While we will not dignify Mr. McMahon's facetious suggestion of a contest to settle a legal claim with a response, we do welcome the opportunity for him to resolve this matter by making a $40,000 donation to the charity of Mr. Lautner's choice, and we will be in touch with his counsel to see if he will make good on this offer.

Turning chicken, Taylor...?
