Image Comics co-founder Jim Valentino has made no secret that he has plans for his original Image superhero ShadowHawk in the wake of the company's current art jam epic "Image United," but today the publisher teased early details on the relaunch with an image meant to get fans talking over the fate of the current bearer of the ShadowHawk helm.

Starting in May, Valentino's "ShadowHawk: Resurrection" will start, and as the teaser reveals with the tagline "The Original Back Breaker Returns," the first character to be called ShadowHawk -Paul Johnstone -may be back from the dead. While the character died a hero in the '90s after an AIDS infection took its toll, the new poster foretells possible reanimation for Johnstone with its skull-rific imagery. What this means for the final fate of current Hawk Eddie Collins is unknown.
