Image Expo is back for a 2015 installment, with Image Comics' one-day exhibition returning to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco on Thursday, Jan. 8. The first crop of announced guests are "Saga" writer Brian K. Vaughan, "Spawn" creator and Image co-founder Todd McFarlane, "Wytches" writer Scott Snyder, "EmiTown" cartoonist Emi Lenox, "Descender" writer Jeff Lemire and Marjorie Liu -- who has no currently announced project at Image, but clearly has something on the way at the creator-owned publisher.

Since its debut in 2012, Image Expo has been known for being an especially newsworthy show, headlined by Image Comics Publisher (and "Nowhere Men" writer) Eric Stephenson hosting an announcement-filled keynote address featuring multiple surprise guests talking about their new projects. January's edition will be the fifth total Image Expo, counting an event held this past July in San Diego on the Wednesday of Comic-Con International.

While not a traditional convention -- there are panels and signings, but not a true sales floor -- Image Expo is open to the public, with tickets now on sale. General admission is $20, and a "premium ticket" including "preferred seating and exclusive Image Comics releases" is $50.
