In this first trailer for Ubisoft's upcoming "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" console game, "Luther" star Idris Elba instructs his men to "siege the day" during an explosive home invasion.

According to Variety, "Siege" marks the first console game in the franchise since 2008's "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2." Ubisoft enlisted Elba as well as director Seb Edwards and Academy Award-winning film editor Angus Wall for the trailer, in order to give the game series' return a bigger bang.

As seen in the trailer, the latest "Tom Clancy Rainbow Six" installment allows for the destruction of the environment, which in turn allows for more creative methods of attack. Likewise, players can control multiple characters and use their individual perks, abilities and equipment to greater effect.

"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" arrives for PS4, Xbox One and PC on December 1.
