SPOILER WARNING: The following article contains major spoilers for the latest episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
With the Patriot (Jason O’Mara) apparently dead, it falls to a re-powered Daisy “Quake” Johnson (Chloe Bennet) to spearhead the resistance against Hydra, but as she’s on the run for her attempts “destabilise Hydra from within,” things are looking pretty desperate for our heroes in “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
If that wasn’t bad enough, the promo for the next episode, “All the Madame’s Men,” strongly hints that Hydra is getting a new head in the form of former S.H.I.E.L.D. operative Fitz (Iain De Caestecker). The captions scream about a “RISE TO POWER,” and it certainly seems like Fitz has already been corrupted by his role in the organization.
According to the episode’s synopsis:
“Daisy finds herself teamed up with an unlikely partner. Meanwhile, Aida [A.K.A. Madame Hydra] prepares to put her ultimate end game into effect”
Can Daisy hope to do more than just keep ahead of the enemy and perhaps even help our heroes escape the virtual world of The Framework in which they are all currently trapped?
Airing Tuesdays at 10 pm ET/PT on ABC, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Chloe Bennet as Daisy “Quake” Johnson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie and more.
