BOOM! Studios has promoted their hit indie comic "Jonesy" to ongoing status, with promise for plenty stories starring the titular ferret-loving, super-powered high-schooler, created by Sam Humphries and Caitlin Rose Boyle.

According to Vox, "Jonesy" will join BOOM!'s stable of acclaimed ongoing series like "The Lumberjanes," "Power Rangers" and "Giant Days," despite the publisher's initial plan to release the Humphries-Boyle title as a four-issue limited series.

"We always knew Jonesy was a star, and now the rest of the world is catching up," Humphries told the site. "The average 'Jonesy' reader is intelligent, charming, insightful, caring, cute as heck, hilarious...and modest. If you read 'Jonesy,' congratulations! If you don't, it's not too late for you to become who you were meant to be."

The next issue in the series, "Jonesy" #4, hits stands on May 11.
