Hulu's Locke & Key television series has made another key casting in It actor Jackson Robert Scott. He will be reuniting with director Andy Muschietti, who he worked with on the upcoming horror film, for the pilot episode.

Scott will portray eight-year-old Bode Locke, the youngest of the Locke siblings. The most optimistic and exuberant member of the family, Bode is especially vulnerable to the unnatural forces plaguing them.

The actor plays Georgie in It, which arrives in theaters on September 8. Scott has also appeared in episodes of Fear the Walking Dead and Criminal Minds.

Earlier this month, it was announced that The Conjuring 2 actress Frances O’Connor will star in Locke & Key as the family's matriarch Nina Locke.

The series is based on horror novelist Joe Hill and artist Gabriel Rodriguez's Locke & Key comic book series. It follows Nina Locke and her three children when they move to the family home in Lovecraft, Massachusetts following the murder of Rendell Locke. There, they discover a series of magical keys and are pursued by a demonic presence.

Debuting in 2008 from IDW Publishing, the story was told over six story arcs and several one-shot issues. The series won an Eisner Award and earned several other distinctions.

The hour-long pilot will be written by Hill and Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel, The Strain). The series will be produced by IDW Entertainment, alongside Cuse, Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Lindsey Springer. Cuse will also serve as showrunner.

A Locke & Key pilot was previously developed in 2011 for Fox, but the network ultimately passed on the show. Reception of the episode was overall positive, but the show was never able to find a new home. Back in April it was announced that a new television project was in the works.
