It's always fun when superheroes show up in television commercials that aren't connected to their films. In this instance, it's the Incredible Hulk, who pitches in to save the city, and sell some cars, in a Brazilian TV spot for the Kwid from French automaker Renault.

According to Renault, the intent of the ad is to "highlight the Kwid's crossover credentials and tough nature," hence the driver following Marvel's Green Goliath as he leaps into action to smash a plummeting satellite that threatens to level Sao Paolo (because when you're the Hulk, smashing pretty much all anyone really expects of you.)

The TV spot heralds the arrival in Brazil of the Kwid, which comes equipped with an on-board trip computer, remote keyless entry, and reverse parking camera, which is pretty handy if you live in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and there's an alien invasion under way. Which, let's face it, there usually is.

Presumably this isn't the last Kwid commercial we'll see featuring the Incredible Hulk. But even if it is, we'll be able to catch him in Thor: Ragnarok, played once again by Mark Ruffalo. Opening Nov. 3, the film also stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Idris Elba as Heimdall, Jeff Goldblum as Grandmaster, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge and Anthony Hopkins as Odin.
