If you call out Wolverine, you better count on a reply from Wolverine. Yahoo! Movies caught up with Hugh Jackman and asked the Wolverine actor about the Australia Day promo Ryan Reynolds cut for "Deadpool" -- one wherein the Merc with a Mouth called "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" a "career low" for him.

"Love it," said Jackman of the promo. "It's just brilliant. I mean, I love Ryan, he's a good mate of mine. He's so fantastic." When asked if he thought Wolverine could beat Deadpool, Jackman immediately replied: "A hundred percent."

When asked if he'd star in a potential "Deadpool" sequel, Jackman said, "I've never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan -- he's awesome -- that's always attractive to me. But I think you've probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine]... probably you," said Jackman, pointing to his "Eddie the Eagle" co-star and "Kingsman" lead Taron Egerton. Jackman's last film as Wolverine is expected to be the third solo Wolverine film, which is due in theaters in 2017.

Directed by Tim Miller and starring Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Gina Carano and more, "Deadpool" opens February 12, 2016.
