Chloe Bennet's character has undergone a gradual but drastic change over the course of three seasons on "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." After debuting in the pilot episode as a hacker named Skye, the character's true history and Inhuman origins were revealed over the course of season two. Season three has pushed Daisy Johnson (formerly Skye) to the forefront as an efficient S.H.I.E.L.D." agent -- one with the power to shake things up.

Bennet spoke about her character's journey during an appearance at Wizard World Des Moines, as revealed in Bleeding Cool's panel report. The actress said that "S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" producers revealed her character's true identity rather suddenly.

"They didn't give me much time," said Bennet. "They told me that I was Daisy Johnson the day before I was Daisy Johnson. So they told me 'So, tomorrow... You'll be Daisy Johnson! And that is you starting a new character!' So I basically had a day to figure it out."

Prior to that reveal, Bennet said she went through what she called "S.H.I.E.L.D. training" between the first two seasons. "They were like 'We've seen you run, and you're gonna need some training. Cause you can't run in a straight line. [laughs] But they implied at the end of season one that the next season would be sort of an origin story. But they said 'We're going to put you in S.H.I.E.L.D. training for a week.' And I thought, well what's that going to do? Make me sore for a week? So in between season one and season two, I put myself through training on my own time. For about six weeks. And then I came back for my one week of S.H.I.E.L.D. training and they were like 'You're good!'"

Bennet also spoke about the connection between Marvel's TV shows and the films -- specifically if the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are facing a major threat like Hive.

"I don't know. People who make movies for Marvel, why don't you acknowledge what happens on our show?" said Bennet. "Why don't you guys go ask them that? Cause they don't seem to care!"

She added that there's one specific Avenger she'd like to see on the show. "I wouldn't mind a little visit from Thor. Like, what if Daisy had to date Thor? And they'd be like 'You have to date Thor. On the show. And kiss.' Just kidding. My boyfriend is standing right behind me. Hi, honey. I love you!"

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." airs on Tuesdays at 9 PM ET on ABC.
