There are movie reviews, and then there are Screen Junkies' Honest Trailers. In the latter, no film is safe from having its most glaring errors - and the ones that true fans are just too devoted to see - pointed out with blatant mocking. The films with the largest fan bases often make for the most scathing and ouch-worthy videos, and perhaps no other franchise falls more squarely in that niche than Marvel Studios, so it's no surprise to see Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 get it's turn (or burn) in the spotlight.

The sequel did exceedingly well at the box office, hovering well over $800 million worldwide -- almost $100 million over the first film of the series. And though it was generally well-reviewed and satisfying for viewers, leave it to Honest Trailers to find more than a few things to pick apart. Though, to their credit, they do point out its much better than most of the other Marvel series' second films - except Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is basically untouchable as far as Marvel films go.

Among the many things pointed out by the Honest Trailer, the one thing that may have fans nodding in agreement with most is the many, many times GotG Vol. 2 allows its characters to laugh at their own jokes. Drax is the worst offender in this regard and director James Gunn showcased the character's awkward side a little too often by letting him bellow with laughter at many an awkward moment.

Of course, anyone who has seen the film will know it plays up its "daddy issues" plot line a little heavily, which of course leads Honest Trailers to redub the film Dad Rock: The Movie -- play on the fact that Starlord's father is literally a planet. At any rate, the Honest Trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 does not disappoint and as always make for a fresh interpretation of a movie. Well, and let's be honest, when it comes to the ones we really love, no Honest Trailer is ever going to make a devoted viewer love a movie less.
