The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is set to take the world by storm on Dec. 13.  As that date approaches, we'll see an increasing avalanche of marketing for the second film in Peter Jackson's trilogy, including this six pack of new posters featuring the likes of Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly), Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) and Gandalf (Ian McKellen).

This film continues the adventures of An Unexpected Journey, pitting Bilbo and his crew against the treasure-hoarding dragon Smaug, voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. The epic Hobbit tale wraps up when There and Back Again hits on Dec. 17, 2014.
