This summer, the buddy comedy gets the gloriously R-rated treatment, with a heavy dose your favorite superhero film stars.

A new red band trailer for the Ryan Reynolds-Samuel L. Jackson vehicle The Hitman's Bodyguard dropped today. It finds Reynolds' bodyguard forced to protect Jackson's hitman -- who's tried to kill Reynolds 27 times (or...28 times). It also features plenty of action, a peek at Gary Oldman's villain, and Salma Hayek dropping Jackson's favorite mother f-ing refrain. All of this, an excuse to see the two kings of R-rated action-comedy together on screen.

The world's top protection agent is called upon to guard the life of his mortal enemy, one of the world's most notorious hit men. The relentless bodyguard and manipulative assassin have been on the opposite end of the bullet for years and are thrown together for a wildly outrageous 24 hours. During their journey from England to the Hague, they encounter high-speed car chases, outlandish boat escapades and a merciless Eastern European dictator who is out for blood.

Neither Jackson nor Reynolds are strangers to R-rated success. Jackson is a mainstay of Quentin Tarantino's curse-laden films and Reynolds made Deadpool ubiquitous with last year's smash hit.

Directed by Patrick Hughes, written by Tim O’Connor, and starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Salma Hayek and Elodie Yung, The Hitman's Bodyguard arrives in theaters on August 18.
