One of the wonderful parts of Marvel Studios' shared universe of films is the ever present possibility that a character from one franchise could appear in another character's film. From the beginning, we saw heroes appearing in cameo roles and supporting roles across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, culminating, of course, with the first big screen team-up in 2012's "The Avengers."

Since then, the MCU has only grown more tightly connected, with numerous heroes appearing across virtually every film released since Joss Whedon first assembled Earth's Mightiest Heroes. It makes sense, then, to wonder if Tom Hiddleston's god of mischief will cross paths with the sorcerer supreme when Benedict Cumberbatch makes his way to "Thor: Ragnarok."

When pressed on this potential clash by MTV News at the 2017 Golden Globes, Hiddleston stopped short of an outright confirmation that Loki will indeed cross paths with Doctor Strange, though he certainly indicates that it's more likely than not that the pair will meet.

"Let's put it this way," the actor said, after assuring MTV he would never question the wisdom of Marvel Studios' "powers that be." "Doctor Doctor Strange has very intensely, cerebral, time-bending powers. At the end of 'Thor: The Dark World'... Loki’s on the throne. What happened to Odin? So, maybe Doctor Strange has to help out with that particular conundrum."
