WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Hellions #2, by Zeb Wells, Stephen Segovia, David Curiel and VC's Cory Petit, on sale now.

Over the years, many of the X-Men have paired off romantically. Some couples have elevated each other's best qualities -- but others have increased each other's worst impulses. In certain cases, the latter was taken to the extreme, with one person becoming outright villainous. Now one such couple has reunited, which could be dangerous.

Havok and Goblyn Queen reunited for the first time in years in Hellions -- and it could spell doom for the future of the troubled Summers brother.

Madelyne Pryor and Alex Summers first connected during a period when she was still technically married to his brother, Scott. After the "Fall of the Mutants," both Alex and Pryor were believed dead to the greater world and went into hiding with the rest of the X-Men.

Madelyne slowly became corrupted by the influence of the demonic S'ym, with things getting worse when she learned her husband had gone back to a resurrected Jean Grey. Meanwhile, Polaris had been possessed by the villainous Malice, leaving Alex alone and equally vulnerable. Madelyne began an affair with Alex, while agreeing to work with the demons of Limbo to open up a rift between Earth and the demonic Otherplace. Becoming the Goblyn Queen, she even convinced Alex to serve as her Goblin Prince in her plans to permanently unleash hell on Earth.

While Madelyne was seemingly killed during the events of Inferno, Havok was accepted back into the X-Men afterwards. He's had a messy history since then, alternating from being outright antagonistic with his fellow mutant heroes to being a dedicated leader.

Recently, his more violent and uncontrollable side has resurfaced, forcing him onto the Hellions squad of troubled mutants after he almost killed a human during a mission. If Havok's darker impulses are given room to fester, it could easily make him a more fearsome force.

That's what makes the events of Hellions #2 so worrisome. The team is investigating mysterious happenings within Mister Sinister's old labs when the Goblyn Queen and her band of twisted Marauders clones attack. Havok is shocked to discover her alive, but Pryor -- who was actually resurrected years ago -- still orders her clones to attack. However, when Prism goes in for the kill against Havok, Pryor intervenes and saves Alex.

Pryor even refers to Alex as her lover when she shatters Prism and Alex shows genuine concern for her when he realizes one of the shards of Prism is embedded in her cheek. Still, there isn't a nice reunion between the pair. Instead, Pryor uses her powers to wipe away Havok's mouth and promises there will be plenty of blood spilled soon enough -- potentially setting up a reunion.

Havok is last seen being led away by Pryor, which doesn't inspire confidence. If anything, Pryor could elevate the darker side of Havok, which could result in Havok actually killing someone and being sent into the depths of Krakoa in exile. That's the best-case scenario.
