"Transcendence" star Falk Hentschel has joined The CW's DC TV Universe as Hawkman. The character is slated to debut on the "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover episodes before heading to the spinoff "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."

According to the character's official description, "Falk will play Carter Hall, the latest reincarnation of an Egyptian Prince who is fated to reincarnate throughout time along with his soulmate, Kendra Saunders (Ciara Renee). Like Kendra, Carter can access the powers of the Hawk God, Horus, transforming him into the winged warrior known as 'Hawkman.'"

During the Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment panel at Comic-Con International last month, it was revealed that Hawkman would appear on "Legends of Tomorrow." Further, it was recently rumored that the character would appear in "Arrow" and "The Flash" before he arrived on "Legends of Tomorrow." This new report confirms that Hawkman will, indeed, fly into all three shows in their upcoming seasons, while hinting that he may remember his past lives.

Hentschel's past credits also include "White House Down," "Knight and Day," "Arrested Development" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

Scheduled as part of The CW's midseason lineup, "Legends of Tomorrow" stars Caity Lotz as White Canary, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein (one-half of Firestorm), Renee as Hawkgirl and Arthur Darvill as time-traveler Rip Hunter. Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin will appear as Arrow and The Flash.
