John Stewart/Green Lantern gets his snot beaten out of him by Hawkgirl in a new clip from the upcoming animated DC film Green Lantern: Beware My Power.

In the footage, John Stewart is seemingly shown attempting to recharge his Green Lantern ring when he is interrupted by Hawkgirl. The Thanagarian uses her signature mace to land multiple blows on Stewart before Green Arrow and the rest of the Justice League arrive to help stop Hawkgirl. Beware My Power will tell the story of John Stewart's very first adventure as an Emerald Knight and will have its World Premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, July 22 in Ballroom 20.

Green Lantern: Beware My Power will be the third animated film centered on the Green Lantern Corps after 2009's Green Lantern: First Flight and 2011's Green Lantern: Emerald Knights and the first to star John Stewart as the protagonist instead of Hal Jordan. The film will also be the fifth entry in the Tomorrowverse, a collection of animated DC films sharing a cohesive animation style and continuity, which began in 2020 with its namesake Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Other films set in the Tomorrowverse include 2021's Justice Society: World War II and the two-part film adaptation of Batman: The Long Halloween, which was also released in 2021.

The upcoming film focuses on recently discharged Marine sniper John Stewart, who is at a crossroads in his life, one which is only complicated by receiving an extraterrestrial ring that grants him the powers of the Green Lantern of Earth. With the aid of the light-hearted Green Arrow, Adam Strange and Hawkgirl, Stewart must journey into the heart of a galactic Rann/Thanagar war and somehow succeed where all other Green Lanterns have failed.
