Harrison Ford doesn't want to kill Indiana Jones. That might not seem like a sure thing based on the franchise-tainting Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, but setting that aside, Ford doesn't want the actual whip-wielding character to die.

At the very least, his recent comments expressing his desires to kill off Indy aren't accurate. An alleged insider recently told Showbiz Spy that Ford and Steven Spielberg were warming up to the idea of killing the iconic hero in a possible fifth film, with Indy passing the torch to his son Mutt (Shia LaBeouf) before kicking the bucket.

“George especially is resisting the notion but Steven is considering it. Funnily enough Harrison wanted the same for Han Solo in the final Star Wars but George put an end to it. This time he doesn’t have all the say though.”

But don't worry, the bad man isn't coming to inappropriately fondle your childhood, at least not yet. Ford's representatives tell Huffington Post that his reported interested in killing Indiana Jones simply isn't true, which hopefully means there won't be a fifth franchise-killing movie coming at all.
