Fans in the United States are counting down the hours until the Friday release of "Suicide Squad," but Japanese must wait until Sept. 10 to see the film. To help tide them over, Warner Bros. has released a new action-packed TV spot that focuses largely on Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, but also briefly spotlights Will Smith's Deadshot, Jared Leto's Joker and Karen Fukuhara's Katana.

In writer/director David Ayer's film, U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller assembles the world's most dangerous incarcerated supervillains and sends them on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. However, when the team members learn they weren't chosen to succeed, but rather selected for their patent culpability when the inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying or decide it's every man for himself.

"Suicide Squad" also stars Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne.
