Production on the still-untitled Han Solo Star Wars anthology film is proceeding apace, and TMZ has just published the first photos from the set to prove it.

While the images are not particularly high-quality, they do show star Alden Ehrenreich, who plays the young Han Solo, getting ready for a scene, and offer a glimpse at what could be his costume.

The photos also capture several land vehicles of varying designs. One is angular and similar to the speeder Rey uses on the surface of Jakku in The Force Awakens, while another has a sleeker, 1950s feel reminiscent of one of the vehicles we saw across the Old Republic in the prequels.

The most disconcerting aspect of the photos is seeing all the vehicles on wheels – making them look like they come from a Mad Max movie rather than from a galaxy far, far away. This may be a glimpse too far behind the curtain of movie-making magic for those who like to think land speeders just hover above the ground in real life.
