Everyone calm down -- Bradley Cooper did not spoil "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2"! That's essentially what writer/director James Gunn told fans in a tweet, which became a necessity after an interview with the Rocket Raccoon voice actor caused many people to wonder if Cooper had spoiled major twist in the sequel.

While speaking with MTV International, Cooper was asked about the villain of "GOTG 2," which led to a very confusing response.

"Josh Brolin's [Thanos] the villain in that one, he's the main villain? He was in the first one," answered an unsure Cooper. "He played what's-his-name's dad. You know what I'm talking about? The dark... the dark lord, or...? His dad, the main guy?" When Sienna Miller, who thought Cooper was talking about Star-Lord pointed out that we don't yet know who that character's father is, Cooper laughed, paused, and tried to explain his way out of it. Based on the context Cooper gave, though, it sounded like he thought Ronan the Accuser was Thanos' son -- not Star-Lord.

This led many people to wonder if Cooper had spoiled Star-Lord's parentage, a plot point that is expected to be part of the second film, even though Cooper clearly states in the interview that he's talking about the first movie. Gunn cleared everything up though with a tweet:

In response to all the stories coming out, Bradley Cooper didn't reveal anything. He just got the script and hasn't read it yet. I promise.- James Gunn (@JamesGunn) November 9, 2015

Gunn's tweet is backed up by the fact that Cooper's co-star Vin Diesel just got the script as well; Diesel, who voices Groot, posted a Facebook video showing off the screenplay (which he received over the weekend) as well as the mix CD Gunn sent along with it.
