Lower your pitchforks and remove yourself from your Jaeger. No need to start wrecking stuff just yet. While reports came yesterday that production has halted indefinitely on "Pacific Rim 2," news comes today from director Guillermo Del Toro, who either didn't get the memo or does not care, that he's still working on the film.

"We are still turning in a screenplay and a budget in three weeks," Del Toro told Entertainment Weekly. "As far as I'm concerned, it's not gone. We’re still on it."

Del Toro further went on to say that the delay is only temporary and that he may do another film in the meantime.

The 2013 sci-fi action film, depicting a near-future war between humanity and giant monsters emerging from an interdimensional portal at the bottom of the Pacific, grossed $411 million worldwide.
