Marvel fans expected a new trailer for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" to arrive soon, but perhaps not this soon. Not that anyone is complaining.

A promo aired Friday on Disney-owned ESPN2 announcing the new trailer will premiere tonight on ABC during the broadcast of the ACC Championship Game, which kicks off at 8 ET/PT. There's even video to prove it:

The trailer arrives nearly two months after Marvel Studios released the minute-and-a-half sneak peek at the sequel to director James Gunn's 2014 hit, which defied expectations to earn more than $773 million worldwide.

Now "Guardians" fans have mere hours to prepare themselves for the best look yet at what star Chris Pratt has described as "the biggest spectacle movie of all time.” And if that's not enough to raise expectations to near-cosmic levels, there's also the endorsement from Vin Diesel, who promised the sequel "will blow your mind."

Set to the backdrop of "Awesome Mixtape #2," "Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand.

Opening May 5, 2017, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Glenn Close, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Kurt Russell.
