Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios have just released a new "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2" TV spot, offering a "Breakfast Club"-style rundown of the film's main players.

In 17 days, you only get one chance to save the galaxy... twice! They're back in theaters May 5! https://t.co/CgJgjWKlyU #GotGVol2 pic.twitter.com/i9TqXESlrN— Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) April 17, 2017

The 30-second promo, which is literally counting down the remaining days until to the film's release date, sure packs a lot in. It re-introduces the Guardians gang, now expanded to include Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), with plenty more laughing, screaming, dancing and related hi-jinks.

There is a cheeky purposeful misspelling that will doubtlessly delight a whole lot of A-holes in the audience, and a massive amount of CGI, including one particularly big beastie with a huge tooth-lined maw that wipes the smile off Baby Groot's face -- what a monster!

Opening May 5, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” stars Chris Pratt as Star-Lord, Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Vin Diesel as Baby Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Michael Rooker as Yondu Udonta, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, Chris Sullivan as Taserface, Sean Gunn as Kraglin, Glenn Close as Irani Rael and Kurt Russell as Ego.
