“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is better than “Citizen Kane,” claims star Chris Pratt, who plays Star Lord in the upcoming sequel. In sharing a picture of the film’s IMAX poster, Pratt decided to have some fun with fans by opining on the impact of the soon-to-be-released film.

Orson Welles’ 1941 drama about reclusive newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane is considered by many consider to be the greatest film of all time, but Pratt is having none of that. “On May 5th the greatest movie in the history of movies is coming. There has never been and will never again be a movie like this.” Pratt’s post begins. “Seriously. Ever heard of Citizen Kane? We're much better. Seriously.”

Pratt then went on to make a series of outlandish predictions about how the movie will be received. Apparently, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” on top of being an action-packed comedic space romp, also excels at sports:

“Our movie just tested at over one million points. Rotten tomatoes already has it at 234% fresh. #GotGVol2 will win every movie award AND about 39 Olympic gold medals in swimming, gymnastics, the skiiing event with the gun, x games, snowmobiling and everything. It will win the World Cup and about 7 super bowl rings, sorry TOM Brady.”

If sports isn’t your thing, the actor believes that “this movie will fry your brains and lift your spirits,” and that it will have a massive impact on future human history: “James Gunn will be elected president of the world. They will add the faces of the guardians to Mount Rushmore for sure. We're gonna get a planet. May 5th will become a national holiday. Everyone will get pregnant. Candy will fall from the sky. Global warming will stop.”

In a good natured rib, Pratt also took aim at the Jurassic Park franchise he helped revive with his performance in 2015’s “Jurassic World”: “Dinosaurs will come back to life. Which unlike some movies might tell you, is actually a really good thing. Because they won't flip out and kill people instead they'll be your awesome pets.”

The star concluded with some serious business, urging fans to see the movie early lest they feel left out. “So basically get your tickets as soon as you can. Don't be the only person on the planet who doesn't see this movie.” He signed the whole thing, “Humbly, Starlord.”

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is written and directed by James Gunn, and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Kurt Russell. The film releases on May 5.
