GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
New casting rumors have begun to circulate for James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” but not for any newly cast actors. The rumor seemingly reveals the roles played by cast members Benicio del Toro, Lee Pace and Karen Gillan. Reportedly, del Toro will play The Collector, Pace will portray Ronan the Accuser and Gillan is onboard to play ruthless space pirate Nebula. With this many characters in a film, it’s possible that the villain everyone thought would show up — Thanos — may not be a major part of the film at all. That’s just speculation, though. It’s highly likely more will be revealed at Comic-Con International next week.
Also, Digital Spy spoke with Marvel Comics editor Steve Wacker, who hinted at a possible “Guardians of the Galaxy” animated series.
“Now, look, I can’t officially confirm that we spent a lot of time talking about the Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon but wouldn’t that hypothetically… be amazing?” Wacker told Digital Spy. “Seriously though, don’t ask me about it because it totally didn’t happen.”

There’s been a lot of talk about “Hellboy 3” and whether it could happen, given that both Guillermo del Toro and Ron Pearlman have been doing the press junkets for “Pacific Rim,” but while speaking with Collider, del Toro characterized the sequel as “very unlikely” to happen.
“It’s very unlikely it’ll happen because you need things to converge so strongly,” del Toro told Collider. “[Producer] Larry Gordon, Universal, the rights, Ron [Perlman’s] and mine’s availability, [comic creator] Mike [Mingola’s] blessing; we have pieces of that, but we don’t have all of that. You need so many things to confluence and then you need about $150 million.”
