Fox will not be releasing an image of Drew Powell's Cyrus Gold, aka Solomon Grundy, ahead of his debut in Season 4 of Gotham.

The network released a promotional image this week that showed off the entire ensemble cast of the show. Gold, however, is nowhere to be found in the image, but that's on purpose.

Powell's character was introduced on the show as Butch Gilzean, a mob enforcer working for Fish Mooney. Over the show's three seasons, he has also worked for Oswald Cobblepot, Tabitha Galavan and Barbara Kean.

When we last saw the character, Butch had been shot in the head by Kean and was placed in the hospital. It is revealed at this point that his birth name is Cyrus Gold, the original name of the hulking monster known as Solomon Grundy.

In the show's fourth season, Gold will begin his transformation. The gunshot left him with amnesia, and with no space left in the hospital, administrators decide to throw him into Slaughter Swamp, from which viewers will see him resurrected as Grundy.

In the comics, Gold was a murder victim who was brought back to life as a zombie in the swamp. He first appeared in All-American Comics #61 from 1944, and was an enemy of the Golden Age Green Lantern Alan Scott. He has since fought Superman, Batman, and many other DC Comics superheroes.

Returning Thursday, Sept. 21, on Fox, Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Robin Lord Taylor as Penguin, Cameron Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth.
