Gotham's aesthetic has always been more comic book noir/camp than gritty realism. This Season 3 reel reveals that's quite literally by design -- everything from Mr. Freeze's icy weaponry, to even elements as basic as crowds and buildings, are completely digitalized and inserted into the scenes. It gives a new appreciation for Gotham's cast, who have apparently been working with green screens more than we could have ever imagined these past three seasons.

If CoSA VFX's brand of digitized super powers looks familiar, that's because the company has also worked on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. .
