The heroes of the upcoming game Gotham Knights are getting their own action figures that offer a closer look at their weapons of choice.

The Gotham Knights Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing and Red Hood figures from McFarlane Toys are all slated to launch in 2022 and are currently available for pre-order with a price tag of $19.99 USD each. Each is a 7-inch scale figure with up to 22 moving parts that allow for various poses on the included stand. Each figure also comes with a collectible art card with a photograph on the front and a character bio on the back. The figures provide a glimpse at the weapons players will have access to in the game, such Robin's staff, Batgirl's tonfa and Nightwing's escrima sticks. In lieu of a weapon, Red Hood comes with interchangeable hands.

Developed by WB Games Montréal (Batman: Arkham Origins), Gotham Knights will allow players to assume control of four of Batman's protégés. Bruce Wayne himself is believed to be dead, leaving his former sidekicks to protect Gotham from the Court of Owls. The description of Robin on the McFarlane webpage describes him as a firm believer in Batman and his mission. Given that he is still in his classic Robin suit, it seems likely that he was still operating alongside Bruce at the point of his disappearance. By contrast, the three other characters will have spent time away from Bruce and his influence.

McFarlane's Batgirl figure depicts Barbara Gordon returning to form with her iconic suit and weapon. Barbara has training in a variety of fighting styles, including kickboxing, capoeira and jiu-jitsu. The action figure includes her weapon the tonfa, a melee weapon akin to a baton. Her character description also lists her incredible hacking skills, which were trained during her time as Oracle.

Dick Grayson's Nightwing will also be a playable character as the oldest of Batman's sidekicks. McFarlane's Nightwing figure depicts the hero in his classic black and blue suit, and it includes his two escrima sticks as weapons. His weapons in previous depictions such as Batman: Arkham Knight could be electrified, effectively turning them into swingable stun guns.

The figure that stands out among the collection is that of Jason Todd. McFarlane's figure of Red Hood is lacking any noticeable weapons. Instead, the figure comes with a set of alternate hands that are instead positioned to form finger guns. Previous glimpses at the character in trailers have shown him wielding guns in the same way his comic book counterpart does. While it is known that he will be using firearms, the McFarlane description of his character suggests he's abandoned his previous lethal methods, falling more in line with the Bat-family's way of operating.

Gotham Knights is scheduled to release in 2022 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
