Deadline has reported that the live+7 ratings for Premiere Week 2014 have arrived. The live+7 ratings take into account the audience that watched a program via DVR within a week of its initial broadcast program in addition to the show's live audience.

The DC Comics drama "Gotham" set a record for l7 lift in adults 18-49 with a 2.7 rating boost -- an 82% increase in the show's audience size.

The Fox series bested last season's lift champion, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," which saw its pilot's numbers increase by 2.4. "Gotham's" premiere initially drew 8 million total viewers; with l7 taken into account, the show's initial audience size has increased to 14 million.

Deadline reported that over a third of the shows during Premiere Week doubled their ratings once DVR ratings were taken into account, thus demonstrating how important the l7 method is for determining how large a show's audience actually is.
