Both the Ghostbusters and Tony Stark are known for their high-tech gadgetry and winning personalities, so -- legal reasons aside -- a crossover between the two just makes sense.

A LEGO fan named Takamichi Irie clearly agrees. Using pieces from official "Ghostbusters" and "Avengers" LEGO sets, Irie has made this team-up a reality, showing what would happen if the Ghostbusters outsourced their tech to Stark Industries.

The result is a set of Ghostbusters-branded Hulkbuster armor that looks like Iron Man's battlesuit from "Avengers: Age of Ultron" crossed with the Ghostbusters' classic Cadillac ambulance-hearse, the Ecto-1. In classic Ghostbusters tradition, the equipment doesn't look like it's working exactly as planned. In Irie's vignette, the Ghostbusters firehouse is a mess, while the Ghostbusters' sometimes-nemesis Slimer is still free and causing havoc. For his part, Stark looks happy to take the money and run.

Ghostbusters got their new weapon from Tony Stark.

Fans who want to build their own Ghostbusters mech can follow Irie's lead. As The Brothers Brick notes, Irie's creation is a combination of two existing LEGO sets: the garage section of the 75827 Firehouse Headquarters and a converted 76031 The Hulk Buster Smash.

Tony Stark and Iron Man last appeared in this year's "Captain America: Civil War," which recently became the first 2016 film to make over $400 million at the domestic box office. A "Ghostbusters" reboot featuring an all-new, all-female cast, debuts on July 15, 2016, although eager fans can listen to the new remix of the classic "Ghostbusters" theme song right now.
