Guard your soul -- Ghost Rider has roared onto "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." with a vengeance, and it seems like we're just getting started when it comes to the mysteries and twists of Season four.

A rogue Daisy Johnson, a well-known comic antagonist and a divided team under mysterious new leadership are just some of the things that were revealed in last night's premiere. Despite Daisy's apparent determination to save the soul of Gabriel Luna's Robbie Reyes, it remains to be seen how Ghost Rider will tie in to the season and to the "S.H.I.E.L.D." narrative. One thing is certain, though: we can count on this season to be a wild (and fiery) ride, as fans learned when Daisy and Ghost Rider clashed in the season premiere.

“‘Doctor Strange’ is coming out and, if you’re familiar with the comic, it’s sort of a different side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that’s going to be opened up, and we felt like it was the time to do this, because it plays in that world,” executive producer Jed Whedon explained about the decision to introduce the Spirit of Vengeance into the show. The inclusion of the character adds a darker and more dangerous element to a show that has more or less redefined itself with a new time slot and new storylines for characters that have, until now, had very specific roles in their team.

As for Daisy? While she's keeping her distance from her friends, she may have more in common with Robbie Reyes than she realizes. "Right now, she doesn’t want anything to lose," Bennet told CBR. "She’s going to work really hard to make sure she doesn’t have anything to lose."

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” airs Mondays at 10 on ABC.
