Superhero Hype has two new scoops from the Melbourne set of the Nicolas Cage vehicle. One Aussie fan wrote, “Shooting starts TONIGHT, 1st March, and continues on the 2nd and 3rd. Further filming on 9th March and 13th March. Sets are looking great, and they now have at least 2 guards working the lot …” Another wrote “I was wandering through the service station set off Little Lonsdale Street at lunch and chatted with one of the workers on site. He told me they were filming tonight (1 March) but that this Sunday night (5 March) will be a good time to come and see … explosions! Nic’s trailer was parked right outside the set on La Trobe Street, but no security around it and the public was allowed to walk straight past.”
THE CROW: WICKED PRAYER
Superhero Hype also reports that the Edward Furlong-fueled sequel will have its premiere this Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at 5:00pm. The event, hosted by the Make a Wish Foundation, will take place at the Loews Universal Citywalk Cinemas at Universal Studios in Hollywood.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Robert Evans and Stan Lee are teaming up to produce “Foreverman,” a new superhero franchise for Paramount Pictures. “Hellboy” writer Peter Briggs has been hired to write the screenplay in collaboration with Lee, who is creating an original superhero, complete with all the trappings of the best-known of Lee’s other creations. The character will have the problems of saving the world as well as the problems of dealing with everyday life. Evans and Lee’s POW! Entertainment is producing the feature in tandem with Idiom Films. The partners plan to create a range of ancillary ventures to complement the franchise, which will include comic book material on the superhero and other characters in the story.
Kryptonsite has fresh spoilers about the season’s twentieth episode “Ageless,” while their archrivals at Devoted to Smallville have screen captures and new episode stills from last week’s Asian-themed episode, “Sacred.”
