DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns is preparing for the weekend by flexing his writing muscles on the newly-announced "Titans" live-action series. Johns shared a piece of "Titans" artwork by late artist Michael Turner on Twitter with the message, "Enjoying an early Friday writing..."The roster shows confirmed team members Robin (not Nightwing, who was originally listed in the series' press release), Starfire, Raven, and Beast Boy (who Johns himself confirmed in another Tweet), joined by Cyborg, Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Kid Flash. Whether or not Cyborg, Superboy, and Wonder Girl will make an appearance is still up in the air.RELATED: Titans: Geoff Johns Confirms Another Hero For DC Show

Written by Akiva Goldsman (âBatman Forever,â âTransformers: The Last Knightâ), Johns and Greg Berlanti, âTitansâ is billed as an action-adventure based on the enduring DC Comics franchise.
The Titans are described as âa group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe,â which may suggest the lineup may reach beyond the traditional membership. A live-action âTitansâ series has been in development at TNT before being shelved by the cable channel in 2014. However, Johns pledged in early 2015 that DC still had plans for the project.
âTitansâ will be executive produced by Johns, Goldsman, Berlanti and Sarah Schechter (âArrow,â âDCâs Legends of Tomorrow,â âThe Flash,â âSupergirlâ). The series will air on a new DC Comics-branded digital platform that will launch in 2018. No official release date has yet been announced.
